Building & Zoning Department
The Village of Mount Horeb Building and Zoning Department deals with questions regarding construction, code issues, uses of property, signs, permits, licenses, and other zoning related questions.

Cable Department
The Mount Horeb Cable Department is tasked with coordinating, broadcasting, and programming Trollway TV, the cable channel for the Village of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. Mount Horeb Trollway TV is located on MHTC channel 181 and Charter channel 981. In addition, Tollway TV programming is available anytime and anywhere.

Public Services Department
The Mount Horeb Public Services Department is responsible for the overall operation of over forty miles of Village streets, storm water, development and maintenance of Village parks, the Family Aquatic Center, and Village-owned buildings. The department also manages Village forestry including village-owned trees along Village streets and in Village parks. The department also conducts brush, yard waste, and leaf pickup.

Recreation Department
We provide a wide variety of recreational and leisure opportunities to enhance the quality of life for all Mount Horeb residents while promoting positive physical, social and emotional experiences. Our programs include indoor and outdoor sports, enrichment classes, family events, health & fitness, and more. We offer online, in-person, drop box, and mail-in registration.

Southwest Dane County Outreach
The Mount Horeb Senior Center provides Case Management, MA Case Management, Nutrition Services, resources and referrals to assist people 60+, to help them remain independent and safe in their own homes or apartments.

Village Administration
The Administrator is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Village and is responsible to the Village President and Village Board for the management of the Village’s day-to-day operations. The Administrator supports the information and policy-making needs of the Board, implements Board decisions and directives, supervises all Village staff, and submits a proposed annual budget to the Board.

Village Clerk
Duties of the Village Clerk and Village Treasurer positions include property tax collections, maintaining assessment information, administering the Board of Review, attending Village Board meetings, maintaining meeting minutes, maintaining village ordinances, administering elections, administering most licenses and permits, maintaining payroll and financial records, acting as custodians of official records of the Village, providing information to the public, and performing all other duties as prescribed by state law or local ordinance.

Village Treasurer
The Village Treasurer duties include serving as chief fiscal officer of the Village, collector of taxes for the town, administrating matters relating to finance, including the Village budget. The Village Treasurer handles the investment of Village funds, as well as the periodic issuance of debt (bonds and notes). The Village Treasurer's office is responsible for the billing and collection of all real property taxes, billing and collection of all utility service charges, and recording the collection of all other revenues (i.e. parking fees, recreation fees, and permits). The Village Treasurer's office also processes payroll for Village employees and pays all bills to vendors for purchased goods and services.

Village Engineer
The Village Engineer assists in the development of plans and specifications for capital projects such as roadway projects, stormwater detention basins, and water, sewer, and storm sewer mains throughout the Village.
